Nilfisk-Advance will acquire ownership of the Swedish Distributor Aquatech as of May 1st 2008. The purchase is part of Nilfisk-Advance's plan to further strengthen the high quality sales and service organisation.
Aquatech has an extensive sales and service organisation in particularly the middle and southern part of Sweden employing around 20 people. The acquisition will be a strong addition to Nilfisk-Advance’s coverage of the Swedish market.
Experienced organisation
Founded in 1970, Aquatech is owned by the Founder and General Manager, Kadim Akca and the Sales Manager, Magnus Freland. Aquatech has solid experience and knowledge of the Swedish market for professional cleaning equipment. The company has serviced the Swedish market as distributor of Nilfisk products before, and has extensive knowledge of the Nilfisk product range.
The decision on selling Aquatech to Nilfisk-Advanced was based on the owners’ wish to secure further growth and development of the company.

Kadim Akca will remain in the company for a transition period of 3 months. After that he will pursue other interests outside the cleaning industry. Magnus Freland will continue as Sales Manager.

The acquisition of Aquatech is a part of Nilfisk-Advances strategy to grow in both existing and new markets via acquisitions and organic growth. The strategy will strengthen the position as one of the worlds leading manufacturers of professional cleaning equipment.
